(Altdorf, August 17, 2026) SHIBAURA MACHINE LWB is inviting rubber and plastic processors, as well as injection molders, to the SHIBAURA MACHINE LWB | Next-Level Molding Days on October 28 and 29, 2026, at its European Competence Center in Altdorf near Landshut. Under the theme “Turning Technology into Productivity,” the company will demonstrate how modern injection molding production will become more economical, energy-efficient, and future-proof. The event will focus on the world premiere of the LWB MultiStation automated production cell, which is set to revolutionize rubber manufacturing. Visitors will also experience the company’s extensive portfolio of horizontal and vertical injection molding machines for thermoplastics and elastomers, with numerous machines operating live. Additionally, SHIBAURA MACHINE LWB will present its comprehensive service portfolio, designed to ensure maximum machine availability and reliability. Technical presentations, plant tours, and direct exchanges with experts will offer practical insights into how plastics and rubber manufacturers can raise productivity, improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and secure their investments over the long term.

 

World premiere: The LWB MultiStation automated production cell is set to revolutionize rubber manufacturing.

At the SHIBAURA MACHINE LWB | Next-Level Molding Days, the company will demonstrate on how SHIBAURA MACHINE’s more than 76 years of Japanese mechanical engineering expertise and LWB’s 63 years of expertise in elastomer technology and vertical injection molding machines work together in practice.

The highlight is the world premiere of the automated production cell LWB MultiStation, which is revolutionizing rubber manufacturing. This innovative system solution for processing elastomers separates the individual process steps—injection, heating, demolding, and loading—and runs them in parallel, reducing downtime. Individual molds can be changed and selected maintenance tasks carried out without stopping the entire production line.

The modular concept allows different molds, materials, and batch sizes to be processed flexibly. This creates the basis for higher equipment availability, greater productivity, stable processes, and cost-efficient, future-proof manufacturing.

 

Broad Portfolio of Horizontal and Vertical Injection Molding Machines 

SHIBAURA MACHINE LWB showcases its broad portfolio of injection molding machines designed for processing thermoplastics and elastomers. “Our machines—whether all-electric or hydraulic, horizontal, or vertical—ensure precise operation, superior product quality, low energy consumption, reduced operating costs, and high reliability. Combined with our automation and system solutions, they provide a solid foundation for cost-efficient and future-proof production,” said Holzinger.   • Fully electric horizontal injection molding machines of the EC-SXIII series for processing thermoplastics with clamping forces ranging from 50 to 350 metric tons
  • Hydraulic horizontal injection molding machines of the S-GenXt series for processing thermoplastics with clamping forces ranging from 100 to 230 metric tons
  • Hydraulic vertical injection molding machines in C-frame, O-frame, and 4-column designs for processing elastomers and thermoplastics with clamping forces ranging from 50 to 900 metric tons

SHIBAURA MACHINE LWB at Fakuma: All-electric injection molding machine with automated part removal via linear handling

Just ahead of the SHIBAURA MACHINE LWB | Next-Level Molding Days, the company and E.P.F. Elettrotecnica S.r.l. (EPF) will present advanced solutions for injection molding, production automation, and digital quality and process monitoring at Fakuma in Friedrichshafen (October 12–16, Booth A5-5217). SHIBAURA MACHINE LWB will operate a fully electric EC100SXIII injection molding machine with a clamping force of 100 metric tons. During a live operation, the machine will produce a business card box, while a Cartesian linear handling system ensures automated part removal.
