LWB Steinl GmbH & Co. KG celebrated its 60th anniversary and 50 years of Steinl mechanical engineering in mid-May this year. The founder, Alfred Steinl, developed the company from a general tool shop and manufacturer of stamped parts into one of the leading manufacturers of presses and injection molding machines for elastomer processing. Peter Steinl, his successor, expanded the family business into a broadly diversified group of companies and coordinated the non-European sales activities in personal union.
In line with the growth and increasing complexity of the business, key positions have now been filled and responsibilities redistributed at LWB Maschinenbau with effect from June 1, 2023. This includes in particular the newly created managing director position for technical matters and the redistribution of responsibilities for global sales management, service and purchasing within the company's own management team.
Dr. Behmenburg joins Managing Partner Peter Steinl and Commercial Director Reinhard Danzer as the new Managing Director Technology and in this position will further develop both the product portfolio and the necessary manufacturing technologies.
He studied mechanical engineering with a specialization in plastics technology at RWTH Aachen University, where he earned his doctorate at the IKV. From 2014, he held management positions at elastomer component producers for the automotive industry.
Since April 2022 at LWB, he has been responsible for the development of new business.
Peter Radosai, who has been with Steinl for around 40 years, Sales Manager for Europe since 2009 and authorized signatory since January 2022, will additionally take over the management function for global sales from Managing Partner Peter Steinl with immediate effect.
Peter Steinl will support Mr. Radosai in an advisory capacity and in the future will increasingly use his capacities for the strategic topics within the group of companies.
Pascal Dorweg, who has also been a member of the LWB regular workforce for many years, will take over the management of the Service Department.
The foundations for his new area of responsibility are extensive knowledge and experience from his previous activities in machine service and project management. He and his team are taking on the task of expanding the capacities of the decentralized service network with the aim of further reducing response times.
Torsten Liedtke, the previous LWB Service Manager, is moving to Purchasing, which he will manage together with Markus Weindl.
