(Altdorf, May 18, 2026) SHIBAURA MACHINE LWB GmbH is expanding its sales team. The company has appointed Dominic Böhm Head of Thermoplast Sales Germany, effective immediately. He brings more than 20 years of experience in injection molding technology, plastics processing, and automation. In his new role, he will support customers with practical solutions for demanding injection molding applications.
Broad hands-on experience across the entire injection molding process chain
“As a trained process mechanic and technician specializing in plastics and rubber technology, Dominic Böhm brings broad expertise across the full spectrum of plastics processing. He will support plastics processors and injection molders in Germany with practical know-how. His goal is to help them optimize production processes, manufacture high-quality end products, and plan, implement, and commission automated production cells,” says Dr. Georg Holzinger, Managing Executive Officer of SHIBAURA MACHINE and Chair of the Management Board of SHIBAURA MACHINE LWB GmbH.
Dominic Böhm began his career in manufacturing engineering in the automotive supply industry. There, he was responsible for designing and planning complex injection molding systems. He managed mold commissioning and optimized production processes in projects across Europe, India, China, and Mexico. Along the way, he gained hands-on experience with SHIBAURA MACHINE and LWB solutions, including in projects in India and Spain. Most recently, Böhm headed the application engineering department at an injection molding machine manufacturer and managed technology-intensive customer projects.
“I have worked closely with production teams in the injection molding industry for 20 years. SHIBAURA MACHINE LWB stands for outstanding expertise in injection molding technology and automation. My goal is to help plastics processors and injection molders in Germany achieve the highest levels of efficiency, precision, and reliability in practical ways,” says Dominic Böhm. He reports to Dr. Martin Kovacik, Executive Vice President Thermoplast Sales and Service EMEA.
At Kuteno in Bad Salzuflen from June 9 to 11, at Booth 20-E43, SHIBAURA MACHINE LWB, the German subsidiary of the Japanese machine manufacturer SHIBAURA MACHINE, will present the benefits of its broad portfolio to plastics processors and injection molders. The portfolio includes vertical and horizontal all-electric injection molding machines with clamping forces of up to 3,000 metric tons, as well as automation solutions for processing thermoplastics, elastomers, and silicone.
